As per tradition, also in 2025, Sharks organised the Edsviken swimrun.
The route starts by SharksSC HQ and brings athletes to the water in front of Jungfruholmen island on Strandvägen. The first swim (200m) goes to Jungfruholmen and then to the pier near Ringvägen (400m). Then a run to Edsviken tennis club and its pier, from where the third swim brings on the Tegelhagen badplats (200m). Around the corner, it is the swim to the Moose (with its traditional picture!) and back (2x 150m). Afterwards, a nice run to the “peninsula” and, this year, a swim to the other side of the fjord into Danderyd’s municipality (200m) to continue back towards Edsberg. A short swim (100m), before the final swim starting in front of Jungfruholmen with water exit by Strandvägen (900m).
It was another lucky year, sunny weather, warm air and warm water temperature (around 24C)!
Who participated this year? Donato – who not long ago accomplished a great achievement, the “Ö till ö” swimrun World Championship – and Michele – who completed his 7th ultra distance triathlon (Frankfurt). But also Anders Shark who accompanied the duo by bicycle and shot amazing photos of the day!
..and how to best end the swimrun? With a delicious ice cream in beautiful company at the local Gelateria, of course!
